With the deepest sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved husband and father - our hero. Surrounded by his loved ones, he left us peacefully on August 24^th, 2023. A pillar of strength and unwavering courage, he touched the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know him. Mr. Gordon Downing of Grenville-sur-la-Rouge passed away at the age of 77, beloved husband of Barbara McAndrew Downing. Predeceased by his parents George Downing and Margaret Reynolds and two brothers, Richard and Bruce. Dear father of Tammy (Henry), Donna (Paul) and Shelley (Jason), cherished grandfather of Thomas, Kade, Gareth, Callum, Caitlin, Grace and Laine. Brother of Edna (Drummond), Tom (Kathy) and Norman (Ellie). Also survived by a sister-in-law Lana, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will welcome friends and family at Desforges Funeral Home Friday October 6^th, 2023 from 7 PM to 9 PM. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel Saturday October 7^th, 2023 at 11 AM. Open from 10 AM.
